Become a Donor

“If we are going to see real development in the world, then our best investment is women.”

– Archbishop Desmond Tutu

Circle de Luz provides two easy ways for each one of us to invest in the lives of our girls. Your contributions will help them gain the confidence, knowledge and experiences they need to live the lives they imagine and break the cycle of poverty.

1

Become a Mija!

We invite you to join the circle and become a mija! At the core of our mission is a desire to bridge the gap between aspirations and realities. Our hija participants have big dreams, and the reality they face often denies them access. We holistically support our hijas in reaching high school completion and then award each of our graduates a $5,000 scholarship.

As a mija, you will support our next class of hijas with a minimum of $125 a year donation for each of the six years that they will be in the program (for a total of $750). This money is pooled with donations from other individuals across the world to create a vibrant giving circle that funds the $5,000 scholarships our hijas receive when they graduate. Mijas can hail from anywhere in the United States, be any age, and from any background.

2

Make a one-time donation!

Our efforts to provide meaningful programming and support for our hijas throughout the six years they are a part of Circle de Luz are dependent upon the investments made in our Circle de Posibilidad. These one-time, unrestricted gifts fund many of our 60+ annual programs, as well as overhead costs. Donors to our Circle de Posibilidad can hail from anywhere in the country, be male or female, or even represent a group or business. Donations made through the Circle de Posibilidad do not require a six-year commitment.
